Lohi Journal is a quarterly print magazine focused on slow lifestyle and travel. Each issue includes two parts: one in-depth guide to a selected destination with tips from locals and interviews with experts on the region. Images and text interconnect with one another, and the magazine is as visually rich as it is interesting to read. The other magazine, printed upside down in the same issue, is for readers curious about different places and perspectives connected to the slow lifestyle-philosophy.Â
Lohi Journal is dedicated to highlighting the locally specific, genuine and authentic, without compromising our interest in aesthetics. They create travel guides based on the slow lifestyle-philosophy. Life is beautiful and they want to celebrate this by sharing their favourite small-scale hotels, organic restaurants, and natural wine bars. It’s about looking at the world in a more holistic way, learning about the history and traditions of the places that they enjoy visiting. Â
Their first issue is on the Bay of Naples, including the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Naples and Prodica. The other magazine is a selection of stories and phenomena part of the current zeitgeist. In this first magazine they include a conversation with Dimitri Karapatakis, co-founder of the hyped K-Studio in Athens; meetings with of the founders of biodynamic vineyards Enoz Vineyard; a guide to Antwerp with a story about our favourite Belgian B&B (as well as an interview with the owner). They also travelled to Portugal s Dá Licença to learn more about their collection of anthroposophical furniture.Â
